Prof. Kim Sung-Soo is a Professor of Graduate School of Energy Science and Technology at Chungnam National University, Daejeon, South Korea. He received his PhD degree from Department of Applied Chemistry, Tokyo institute of Technology. He has worked 15 years for Samsung SDI Central R&D center as Associate research engineer (1995-1997) and Principal research engineer (1997-2010). In 2005 we won the Silver Prize in Samsung Group Best Paper Awards. His current research interests are material characterizations for rechargeable battery, novel electrode materials (Alloy, Oxide and Composite for Li secondary battery), reaction mechanism investigations using single particle measurement (collaboration with Prof. Kanamura in TMU, Japan), inorganic additive design for electrolyte evaluation and improvement of separator membranes.
