Dr. Hirokazu Munakata is a Professor of the Department of Applied Chemistry, Graduate School of Urban Environmental Sciences, Tokyo Metropolitan University. He received his PhD in 2004 from Osaka University under the supervision of Prof. Kuwabata. In 2004-2008, he was a post-doctoral researcher in Prof. Kanamura’s group at Tokyo Metropolitan University. His research interests are in the field of electrochemistry, particularly energy conversion systems such as batteries (lithium-ion and beyond lithium-ion batteries) and fuel cells (polymer electrolyte and solid oxide fuel cells).
